Your Home - While You Stay Elsewhere
The first situation is created when you rent your own primary, secondary, or seasonal residence occasionally to others and you vacate it or will not also occupy the residence while others are using the home and the contents you have provided. This frequently done in Cooperstown, college towns and cities, and in the lake districts of upstate Pennsylvania State, during peak seasons. Some of the ski areas also increase area accommodations in this way. You may have homeowners insurance already. However, without special endorsements designed to cover this use of your property, any claim may be rejected by your insurance company. Contact us at 607-843-8860 or insurance@drickardinsurance.com so we can build a policy with you for unique situation. We are happy to help you avoid rejection to the best of our ability when you fully disclose the use of your property. Our clients have been happily surprised how affordable the polices are that address this concern.
